Every worker on sewakarmi has uploaded a real Aadhaar card and confirmed their phone number via OTP. When you tap Contact, we reveal their full name and phone — meet them at home or a public place for the first conversation, and physically check their Aadhaar card before hiring for any full-time role.

You can report a profile from the worker's page. After 3 verified reports, the profile is hidden pending review. For property loss or theft, file a police complaint immediately and share the FIR with us via the contact form — we'll cooperate fully with police inquiries.

Your phone is the only personal information we keep about you as an employer. We never sell or rent contact data. See our privacy policy for the full breakdown of what we collect and why.

For workers: free, forever. For employers: free for the first 3 months. After that, contact unlocks (revealing a worker's phone) will cost ₹49 per unlock or ₹199/month for unlimited unlocks.

Most Indian platforms charge workers placement fees of one or two months' salary. We refuse to do that. Workers are paid by the families who hire them; sewakarmi is paid by employers, not by workers.

We're rolling out city by city. If you don't see workers near your pincode, the platform will offer to add you to a waitlist. We seed new cities by visiting kirana stores with QR posters — see our about page for the rollout plan.

Yes. Plumbers, electricians, painters, masons, beauticians, tutors, and event helpers are typically hired per visit or per day, not full-time. Their rates and availability are listed.

It's the simplest way to verify a worker's name and city in India. We do NOT store the 12-digit Aadhaar number. We do NOT store your full date of birth — only the year. We do NOT store your full address — only city, state, and pincode.

No. The image of your Aadhaar card is held in memory only long enough to extract your name, gender, year of birth, city, and pincode — about one second. The image itself is never written to disk and is discarded immediately after.

Go to /me/delete on the site. Type DELETE to confirm. Your profile is hidden from search instantly and all your data is purged from our database within 30 days. This satisfies your DPDP Act 2023 right to erasure.

Yes — visit /api/me/export while logged in. You'll get a JSON file with everything we hold about you. This satisfies your DPDP Act 2023 right to access.

We're shipping the profile editor in the next release. For now, contact us if you need to change your name, role, or pincode.

Right now you have one profile tied to one pincode. Multi-city profiles are on the roadmap.

No. We only show your area name (e.g. "Model Town") to employers — never your house number or street.
